Pro Bowl Cheerleader: It's Tiffani!

The Redskins Cheerleaders selected Tiffani Mattingly to represent them at the 2008 NFL Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Tiffani has been a member of the Redskins Cheerleaders for 8 seasons and is currently one of the four team captains. She works full time for the Redskins as the team's Senior Manager for the Premium Club.

The Redskins announced Tiffani as the Pro Bowl Cheerleader during the Thursday night game against the Chicago Bears at FedExField.

"I was overwhelmed when it was announced", Tiffani said. "As I walked around the stadium holding my huge bouquet of flowers it was AMAZING to see so many fans and clients that I get to work with on a daily basis."

Every year after the Pro Bowl Cheerleader is announced, the winner takes a lap around the entire stadium waving to the fans.

This tradition started in 1997 when Tracy Ricker was announced as the Pro Bowl Cheerleader that year. It has been carried out every year after the surprise announcement.

The announcement came less than a week after Tiffani and seven other cheerleaders had returned from an MWR tour of Iraq.

The cheerleaders had visited more than 21 camps in 11 days of touring and performed over 16 shows.

"I am so thankful to have been able to meet the thousands of military members who give us all our freedom here at home," Tiffani said. "I will not only be representing the best team, cheerleaders and fans, but I will also be thinking of all the brave men and women fighting in Iraq, where I just left.

"To be the representative selected out of 40 incredibly beautiful, intelligent and outgoing ladies is an honor that I can't quite describe.

"The Pro Bowl selection is done by the squad, my teammates. I could not ask for a better vote of confidence. I hope to bring a little piece of each girl when I head to Hawaii--they are who I am representing."
