Redskins Claim Vinston Painter Off Waivers

Vinston Painter joins the Redskins after previous stints with the Broncos, Browns and Dolphins. He was a sixth-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Virginia Tech.

The Washington Redskins on Monday announced they have claimed offensive lineman Vinston Painter off of waivers.

Painter, 26, has previously been a member of the Denver Broncos (selected by the team in the sixth-round of the 2013 NFL Draft), along with the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins.

During the 2014 season with the Browns, Painter appeared in three games.

Painter played collegiately at Virginia Tech, where he played in 31 games with 13 starting during his senior season.

With the addition of Painter, the Redskins currently have 15 offensive linemen on the roster.
