The Redskins announced on April 27 the release of defensive back Dennard Wilson.

Wilson originally signed with the Redskins in April 2004 as an undrafted rookie free agent. After spending the off-season with the team, he suffered a knee injury early in 2004 training camp and was placed on the team's injured reserve list.

Wilson, a safety, played his collegiate ball at Maryland.
