Redskins Retain Boschetti For D-Line Depth

The Redskins have re-signed free agent defensive lineman Ryan Boschetti, the team announced on Monday.

Boschetti is a third-year player who joined the Redskins as an undrafted rookie out of UCLA in 2004. He has mostly seen action as a reserve defensive lineman, playing both tackle and end.

Coaches like Boschetti's upbeat attitude and energy he brings to the defense.

Last season, Boschetti played in just two games, logging three tackles. He saw his most action in Week 6 vs. Tennessee when starters Cornelius Griffin and Joe Salave'a were sidelined due to injury.

The 6-4, 305-pounder was a reliable lineman in 2005, when he played in 13 regular season games, with one start, and one playoff game.

For his career, Boschetti has played in 18 games, with two starts, and logged 15 tackles (eight solo).
