Redskins Sign OL Todd Wade

The Washington Redskins announced on Sept. 5 that they have signed offensive lineman Todd Wade to the active roster.

Wade, 6-8 and 317 pounds, is in his seventh NFL season. Originally a 2000 second-round draft choice out of the University of Mississippi for the Miami Dolphins, Wade has played in a total of 86 games with 85 starts at the tackle position.

Wade spent the past two seasons with the Houston Texans, where he played in 23 games with 22 starts over the course of the two years, including starting and playing in the team's first nine games in 2005, before his season was cut short by a knee injury. He was released by the Texans in July.

Wade will wear number 74 with the Redskins.

The Redskins also announced that offensive lineman Ikechuku Ndukwe was released on Sept. 5.
