Redskins Sign Punter Derrick Frost

The Washington Redskins announced on Monday, Sept. 26 that the team has signed punter Derrick Frost. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

He will wear jersey No. 4.

Frost, 6-4 and 208 pounds, was a first-year punter for the Cleveland Browns in 2004. He appeared in all 16 regular season games and totaled 85 punts for 3,404 yards (40.0 avg.) and a 35.4 net average. He also recorded 24 punts in the 20 and only four touchbacks. His career-long is 54.

Frost played at Northern Iowa where he finished his career with 104 punts for 4,388 yards (41.2 avg.) and a long of 75.

The team also announced they have waived punter Andy Groom.
