Wide receiver Terry McLaurin was named to the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA) All-Rookie team, which was announced Tuesday.

A third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, McLaurin quickly became one of the Redskins' most vital offensive weapons and made his debut with a five-reception, 125-yard performance that included a 69-yard touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles.

McLaurin passed Anthony Armstrong for No. 2 all-time in receiving yards for a rookie with 86 yards against the New York Giants in Week 16. He also moved to No. 4 in franchise history for receptions by a rookie, passing Charley Taylor. He was eight yards away from being the franchise leader in rookie receiving yards before being ruled out of the season finale against the Dallas Cowboys with a concussion.

Among the rest of his rookie peers, McLaurin was second in yards (919), receptions (58) and yards per game (65.7). His seven touchdowns were tied for third in the league among rookie receivers, and he was tied for second with 15 plays of at least 20 yards. Forty-three of his receptions resulted in first downs, which led all rookie receivers.

Other offensive selections to the PFWA All-Rookie team include Tennessee Titans receiver A.J. Brown, Denver Broncos tight end Noah Fant, Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray.
