Long snapper Nick Sundberg will miss his second straight game, as he has been ruled out of Thursday's Redskins-Cowboys game. Three others are questionable.

The Washington Redskins will head into Thursday afternoon's rivalry game against the Dallas Cowboys without long snapper Nick Sundberg, who will miss his second straight game as he deals with a back injury.

Wide receiver Jamison Crowder (shoulder), defensive end Chris Baker (hamstring) and tackle Ty Nsekhe (ankle) are questionable for the matchup.

Sundberg appeared in 41 straight games for the Redskins dating back to the beginning of the 2014 season, but tweaked his back while working out last week.

Without the veteran, the Redskins turned to first-year Old Dominion product Rick Lovato at the long snapper position.

Despite working out for Washington on Friday and the being signed Saturday afternoon, Lovato didn't have any issues working with Tress Way and Dustin Hopkins on short notice.

"For special [teams], it takes time to build chemistry, but they were so welcoming, so comfortable with me as soon as I got there, encouraging me on my snapping, and told me to keep doing a good job," Lovato said after Sunday's victory over the Packers. "I just wanted to go out there and make their job as easy as possible, which is the job of the long snapper: make the punter and kicker's job as easy as possible. I felt like we did a good job tonight, I know we only had one day of work together, but it's great that we had decent chemistry on the field and got the win."

Jackson, meanwhile, returned to the field against the Packers after missing the Redskins' victory over the Vikings, appearing on 47 snaps while recording four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown.

If active, Jackson could cause problems for a Dallas secondary hampered by injury. The Cowboys are giving up more than 263 passing yards per game and allowed 30 receptions of 20 yards or longer.

Baker, meanwhile, has been the Redskins' most productive defensive lineman this season, as he's collected 30 tackles along with three sacks and two fumbles forced.

He's appeared in the Redskins' last 31 regular season games, and has 12 tackles along with a sack in four matchups with the Cowboys during that span.

As for Nsekhe, he's manned down the left side of the offensive line during Trent Williams' absence. If active, the Redskins will need him at his best against a solid front seven for the Cowboys.

"It's a quick turnaround, but I feel good," Nsekhe said on Monday. "Just get some treatment, and get ready for Dallas."

For the Cowboys, safety Barry Church (forearm) and cornerback Morris Claiborn (groin) have been ruled out for the contest.

Both players have missed the last three games for Dallas.
