September 11th will forever be a day to remember and honor heroes. Join FedEx and the Redskins in recognizing heroes everywhere.
Leading up to the Redskins game on September 11 on Monday Night Football (and during the actual game), FedEx and the Washington Redskins will recognize the anniversary of 9/11 through "FedEx Special Delivery," a series of activities designed to appropriately honor the American spirit and heroes everywhere.
Plans for this program include:
- FedEx Special Delivery trucks will deliver more than 90,000 American flags to FedExField for the September 11th game. All the fans in the stadium will be encouraged to wave their flags in unison at different points during the game in honor of heroes everywhere--what a spectacle that will be!
- FedEx is providing special postcards at participating local FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Centers in the Washington, D.C., area for the public to send to their own heroes (police officers, firefighters, school teachers, coaches, etc.). All postcards will be sent compliments of FedEx. A complete list of participating locations has been provided below.
- FedEx is supporting "Children of September 11," a non-profit organization founded in October 2001 by families affected by the September 11 terrorist attacks, and is encouraging donations via Redskins.com. To donate, click here.
