Danny Etling joins the Commanders after spending six seasons as an NFL quarterback, most recently as a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Prior to joining Green Bay, Etling spent time on the New England Patriots, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Prior to the start of his coaching career, Etling was drafted by the New England Patriots as the first pick in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Etling attended Purdue University from 2013-14 before transferring to Louisiana State University from 2016-18. Etling played collegiately as quarterback at both universities and earned his bachelor's degree in mass communication from LSU.
