Drew Curls is entering his fifth NFL season and his fourth with Washington after joining the team on a full-time basis during the 2017 offseason. Curls was promoted to assistant equipment manager during the 2019 offseason.
Curls is responsible for handling equipment-related details for practices, pre-game activities as well as overseeing all footwear, uniform maintenence and fitting of helmets.
Curls previously served as a seasonal assistant for the department during the 2016 season prior to joining Washington full-time in 2017. His background also includes experience in professional baseball, including working as a clubhouse assistant for the Philadelphia Phillies during spring training for eight years from 2009-17 as well as serving as Clubhouse Manager for the Class-A Dunedin Blue Jays in early 2017.
Curls earned his degree in sport management from Florida State in 2015. During his time in Tallahassee, he served as a student football equipment manager for the Seminoles for the 2014-15 seasons.
Curls is a native of Clearwater, Florida.
