Wes Welker is entering his first season as a Personnel Analyst in Washington, after previous stops as a Wide Receivers Coach with the Miami Dolphins (2022-2024) and San Francisco 49ers (2019-2021), as well as the Houston Texans (2017-2018) as an Offensive Assistant.
Welker began his coaching career in Houston following a 14-year NFL career as a wide receiver. A five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro receiver, Welker amassed 903 receptions for 9,924 yards and 50 receiving touchdowns over the course of his career.
Welker attended Texas Tech University, where he played wide receiver for four seasons (2000-03). In his senior year, Welker led all Big 12 receivers with 97 receptions and totaled 1,099 yards and nine receiving touchdowns. During his first three seasons at Texas Tech, Offensive Coordinator Kliff Kingsbury was Welker's teammate and starting quarterback.
A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Welker is married to Anna Welker, and they have three children, Caroline, Carter and Jack.
