2006 Pro Bowl Cheerleader: It's Courtney!

The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders will send 10-year veteran and squad captain Courtney to represent the team at the 2006 Pro Bowl in Hawaii. This isn't Courtney's first trip to the All Star event. In 2001, as a five-year veteran, she was selected to go to the Pro Bowl.

Courtney is just the third cheerleader in NFL history to go to the Pro Bowl two times.

Each year the Redskins Cheerleaders vote for one squad member that they would like to represent them at the NFL's annual Pro Bowl lineup.

"I know from going to the Pro Bowl in 2001 that it is a trip of a lifetime, and I think the second time will be even more exciting," said Courtney, who since her last trip to Hawaii received her Master's degree in forensic psychology.

The 10th season has been a charm for Courtney. Not only is she the only squad member left who cheered at RFK for the last game and at FedExField for the first, this year she appears on the back cover of the Redskins Cheerleaders swimsuit calendar and is on the cover of the November/December issue of the Washington Flyer Magazine. The Magazine is distributed in the Washington, D.C., area airports.

"I feel truly blessed and honored to be representing the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders for a second time," Courtney said "I know how intelligent, talented, and beautiful all of my teammates are. I can't wait to make them proud in Hawaii."
