Forbath, Reed Expected To Play Sunday

The Washington Redskins got a boost out of the bye week with kicker Kai Forbath (right groin) and tight end Jordan Reed (thigh) feeling healthy and expecting to play.

Reed has been the team's most-productive tight end this season, catching the same number of passes (13) as the rest of his unit combined.

He is also one of only four receivers on the team with a touchdown in the first four games.

Reed suffered a deep thigh bruise vs. the Detroit Lions in Week 3 and was unable to suit up in Oakland. While he wanted to play, he was unable to properly bend his leg or open up his stride to get up to speed.

"It was difficult, not being out there with the guys," he said. "Not being involved with the first win was difficult for me."

Even as a rookie, Reed understands the magnitude of being ready to suit up for his first game against the archrival Cowboys.

"I feel great, I will be out there without a doubt," he told the media on Monday. "It's a huge rivalry and I'm just happy to be a part of it."

Forbath suffered an injury to his right groin on the eve of the team's Week 2 matchup vs. the Green Bay Packers, forcing the team to go with John Potter for three games.

The coaching staff took a cautious approach to his recovery to avoid long-term complications. Last week's release of Potter suggests Forbath is fully healthy and ready to go.

"I feel good, I didn't hit too many [Monday], but it'll be a normal week of practice for us," he said. "I'll kick it the same just like before I got hurt. I'll be confident in the snap and hold and kick it just the way I did before.

"It'll feel great to get back out there and it already feels great being out at practice."
