Alex Laycock is entering his second season with Washington as a Football Data Scientist.
Prior to working with the Commanders, Laycock worked at the University of Texas as a Performance Analyst in their Applied Sports Science department. There he worked with multiple teams on campus using data to help optimize athletic performance and mitigate injury risks. Prior to working in Austin, Laycock worked with the University of Alabama as a Data Analytics Intern.
Laycock graduated from the University of Alabama with B.S. degrees in Biology and Mathematics and an M.S. degree in Applied Statistics.
Alex and his wife Shannon are natives of Birmingham, Alabama.
