Doug Quon is entering his 12th season with the Washington Commanders as an Assistant Athletic Trainer.
Quon plays an integral role in the comprehensive health and well-being of Commanders players and team personnel including the management, prevention, immediate care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and related conditions.
He assists with the Injury Prevention Program by proactively addressing injury risks stemming from individuals' medical histories and preexisting orthopedic conditions. With a keen focus on mitigation strategies, he assists in the development and implementation of tailored interventions designed to minimize injury risk.
In 2018, Quon was a member of the staff honored as the Ed Block NFL Athletic Training Staff of the Year. This prestigious award recognizes one NFL athletic training staff annually for their exceptional contributions to their club, the wider community, and the athletic training profession.
Prior to his tenure in Washington, Quon served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of California, Irvine, during the 2013-2014 academic year. In 2012, he worked as a Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainer with the Jacksonville Jaguars and worked in the same capacity for the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Quon served as a Graduate Athletic Training Intern from 2009-2010 at the University of Hawaii, working with football and men's volleyball teams. In addition, he worked with the football program at Texas Tech University while pursuing his Master of Athletic Training degree in 2012. He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine in 2006.
He currently resides in Ashburn, VA with his partner Mallory and their dog, Mochi.
