Team Stats

• ·        The Washington Redskins fell 28-13 to the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

Offense:

• Quarterback Colt McCoy completed four passes on four attempts for 50 yards while holding a 118.8 passer rating before leaving the game with an injury.
•  Quarterback Mark Sanchez made his Redskins debut entering the game after starting quarterback Colt McCoy sustained an injury. Sanchez completed 13 passes on 21 pass attempts for 100 yards and a 53.7 passer rating. It was Sanchez's first game since Jan. 1, 2017 as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
•  Running Back Adrian Peterson finished with 98 yards on nine rush attempts (10.9 avg.) and one touchdown. The 10.9 yards per carry average is Peterson's second highest average per rush attempt for a game in his career. It is the first time he has rushed for more than 10 yards per carry since averaging 10.0 yards per carry against the Green Bay Packers on Dec. 2, 2012. Peterson has now averaged 10 or more yards per carry in four games for his career.
•  Peterson recorded a 90-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. The 90-yard score is the longest touchdown run from scrimmage in his career and also the longest rushing touchdown in Redskins history. According to the national broadcast, he became the oldest player in NFL history to record a 90-yard touchdown run.
•  The 90-yard touchdown run was the 16th rushing touchdown of 50-plus yards for Peterson in his career. He has now passed Hall of Famer Barry Sanders (15) to rank first in rushing touchdowns of 50 or more yards in NFL history.
•  With his touchdown run, Peterson tied Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Brown for fifth on the NFL's all-time list in rushing touchdowns with 106.
•  With his performance, Peterson has now collected 15,324 yards from scrimmage and has now passed Warrick Dunn (15,306) for 19th on the NFL's all-time list.
•  Peterson has now registered 112 career offensive touchdowns and passed Tony Gonzalez and Lenny Moore and tied Shaun Alexander for 15th on the NFL's all-time list.
• Wider receiver Jamison Crowder finished with four receptions for 36 yards (9.0 avg.). It was Crowder's first game since Week 5 of the 2018 season.
• Wide receiver Josh Doctson posted a team high 51 receiving yards on three receptions (17.0 avg.).
• Running back Chris Thompson averaged 6.0 yard per carry on three attempts for 18 yards. The game was Thompson's first since Week 8 of the 2018 season.

Defense:

• Linebacker Zach Brown tied a team high in tackles with nine (8 solo). Brown also chipped in two tackles for a loss and a forced fumble. 
• Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan started his 124th consecutive regular season game, the longest active streak among active NFL linebackers. Kerrigan has not missed a start in his NFL career.
• Kerrigan remains as one of six NFL players (and only three non-quarterbacks) to have started every game since the start of the 2011 season (Brandon Carr, Patrick Peterson, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan and Matthew Stafford).
• Cornerback Fabian Moreau recorded his third forced fumble of the season. Moreau also tied a team high with nine tackles (7 solo) and two passes defensed.
• Cornerback Josh Norman finished with two tackles and one interception. It is his third interception of the season and the 13th interception for his career.

Special Teams:

• Kicker Dustin Hopkins connected on both of his field goal attempts hitting field goals of 44 and 47 yards, respectively.
• With his first field goal of the game, Hopkins (394) passed Art Monk (390) for sixth on the all-time franchise list for total points.
• With his first field goal of the night, Hopkins (25) passed Kai Forbath (23) for fourth on the franchise list for career field goals made from 40-49 yards.
• Punter Tress Way totaled 290 yards on six punts (48.3 avg.) and a net average of 45.2. Way has now collected 15,448 punting yards and has passed Hall of Famer Sammy Baugh (15,245) for No. 3 in franchise history in punting yards. Way also pinned two punts inside the 20 yard line, increasing his season total to 33 which is the most in the NFL this season.
