The 3rd annual Redskins Read Children's Book Drive kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 18 and runs through Thursday, Sept. 30 at 26 area Borders bookstores and 13 area Redskins Team Stores.

The highlight of this year's book drive is a collection event at FedExField on Sunday, Sept. 19, during the Redskins-Texans game.

Fans are encouraged to bring new children's books to the game on Sept. 19 and drop them off in the collection bins that will be stationed around the stadium.

All new children's books collected at Borders, Redskins Team Stores and the Redskins-Texans game will go directly to providing books to underserved youth in the Washington, D.C., region.

The children's book drive is part of the Redskins Charitable Foundation's Redskins Read literacy initiative.

If fans are unable to attend the game or wish to make a monetary donation, cash or checks will be accepted at the game. Checks may be mailed to the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.

All checks should be made payable to the "Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation" (a 501c3 nonprofit organization). Donations may be sent to the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation c/o Redskins Read Children's Book Drive, 21300 Redskin Park Drive, Ashburn, VA 20147.

All funds collected will be used by Everybody Wins! DC to purchase additional books.
