Describe what you do with the organization. What's your favorite part about what you do?
I oversee stadium security, event security, event transportation and public safety at FedExField. My favorite of all of these aspects is building a foundation and developing our staff.
What's a work-related accomplishment that you're really proud of?
I'm most proud of improving the gameday security protocols towards fan/employee safety, garnering a top 3 ranking on the NFL security audit and implementing new security equipment and technology.
What inspires you to come to work each day?
I'm inspired by the opportunity to build a long-lasting foundation towards our security and transportation operations for the Washington Commanders.
How has your heritage shaped who you are today?
My grandparents lived through the Jim Crow Era in Alabama, and they shared with me the importance of faith, family, and foundation. All 3 Fs played an essential role in our rich heritage, my life and the importance of understanding Black excellence as a Black male.
What does this month mean to you?
Everything! This month highlights our history, heritage and accomplishments as a race in this country and around the world. I love learning about historic accomplishments and famous inventions geared towards Black history and excellence!
