Commanders re-sign Chris Paul

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Commanders announced today that they have re-signed guard Chris Paul. Full terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Paul (6-4, 324) is entering his fifth season after being selected by Washington in the seventh-round (230th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. Paul has seen action in 34 career games and allowed just four sacks.

In 2025, Paul appeared in all 17 regular season games and started a career-high 15. Paul surrendered just one sack and had two penalties on the year.

Paul played in 17 games from 2022-2024 and totaled two penalties and three sacks allowed over the three-year span. In 2022, Paul played 10 games and started seven, which was his previous career high.

Paul, a Houston, Texas native, attended Jersey Village High School and played collegiately at Tulsa for four seasons (2017-2020).

At Tulsa, Paul started every game in each of his last three seasons and made starts at right tackle, right guard and left tackle. As a senior, he started in eight games and was named to the Second-Team All-Conference team.
