Military Appreciation Takeover presented by GEICO Military

On Thursday, August 17, GEICO Military and Redskins Salute took over the first home preseason game of the year as the Redskins faced off against the New York Jets. In conjunction with the USO-Metro, GEICO Military donated 1,000 tickets to DMV area military members and their families.

Along with the tickets, 30 guests were able to feel like they were part of the Redskins squad as they ran out of the cheerleader tunnel and welcomed the team as they took to the field.

At halftime, GEICO military presented a donation for $50,000 to the United States Veterans Chamber of Commerce and their support of the 2018 Invictus Games. Representatives from both GEICO Military and the 2018 Invictus Games were on the field for the ceremony.

The night wrapped up with a Redskins victory over the Jets 15 to 13. We look forward to seeing our military member at the regular season home opener when the Redskins take on the Colts on September 16.
