Daniels is the 16th selection in the tenure of General Manager Scot McCloughan and the 24th selection of the Jay Gruden era. * Daniels is the 455th selection made by the Redskins in the Common Draft era (since 1967) and the 58th seventh-round selection in that time frame. He is the 89th seventh-round selection by the Redskins all-time since the institution of the draft in 1936. * Daniels is the fifth player selected by the Redskins with the No. 232 overall pick all-time, joining B John Kerestes (1951), G Bill Link (1953), HB Jimmy Wolf (1960) and QB Gibran Hamdan (2003). * Daniels is the eighth Boston College player selected by the Redskins all-time, joining B Ed Doherty (1944), T John Miller (1955), T Leon Bennett (1958), QB Don Allard (1959), B Jim Colclough (1959), LB Kevin Clemente (1972) and DB Rico Labbe (1990) * Daniels is the third Boston College linebacker drafted by any NFL team in the last five years, joining Kevin Pierre-Louis (Seattle, 2014) and Luke Kuechly (Carolina, 2012).
