On Wednesday, May 30, Redskins Salute partnered with USAA, Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the Washington Redskins, to host active duty military, veterans, and their families for a private viewing of the Redskins OTA (Organized Team Activities) at the Inova Sports Performance Center at Ashburn, VA.
Many active duty and veterans from across all the military branches came out to watch the team practice. Prior to practice beginning, they were able to participate in a Chalk Talk featuring Redskins Alum and 2-time Super Bowl Champion Gary Clark ('85-'92). After the Chalk Talk, guests were able to meet with Clark while enjoying lunch catered by Famous Dave's BBQ. USAA provided guests the opportunity to take photos with replica versions of the three Super Bowl Trophies and individual pennants to get signed by the players.
Around 11:30 AM, the 2018 Redskins took to the field where military members were able to watch practice as the players ran through drills and game scenarios. After practice wrapped, guests had the opportunity to meet all of the players and coaches for an autograph signing and photo opportunity.
