Redskins & USAA To Recognize Current And Former Military For Special Salute To Service Game

The Washington Redskins and USAA will recognize our veterans and military at Monday night's annual Salute To Service game. The Redskins were one of three teams hosting a home game on Dec. 7, 1941 – the day that the Pearl Harbor attacks occurred. Seventy-four years later, the Washington Redskins and USAA are honored to present a special Salute to Service game on Pearl Harbor Day in tribute to all current and former military. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football.

In remembrance of the anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor, the Redskins and USAA, Official Military Appreciation Sponsor of the Washington Redskins, are joining forces to honor World War II veterans throughout the game weekend.

In conjunction with Honor Flight DFW, the Redskins and USAA will host 12 WWII veterans in Washington, D.C., at remembrance events that include a visit to Arlington National Cemetery as well as participation in the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Ceremony at the National World War II Memorial held on Monday, Dec. 7. Redskins President Bruce Allen will be in attendance, supporting all World War II veterans and honoring our nation's fallen heroes.
