On the first day having fans in attendance:
"It was a good energy. Good, nice energy. It's just always good to have the people out there, give the people what they want to see early too. Shoot, I'm loving it."
On if he expected the big turnout:
"To be honest, I don't even know. I really was just locked in, focused on practice for real but it was great. It was a great turnout. I'm glad, I hope a lot more people come, even more."
On what he's working on this week:
"I'm just working on all of my past rush moves, just my power. How to escape my power and things like that, really that's it though. I'm just working on homing in on my pass rush abilities."
On having LB Von Miller on the team:
"Just being next to a great, that it elevates you. I can't speak for everybody else, but I know when I'm out there next to him, it just makes me go to a different level. Just being able to learn some things from him and see how he sees the game. You understand why he's got as many sacks as he does. He's just a different dude, dynamic."
On the different body types of the defensive line and on how it affects his approach:
"No, I mean that's the way they designed it. Bring people in that could do different things and have a plethora of a lot of guys that you could use in different ways. My approach doesn't change. I just come out and be me. That's all I'm focused on, is just being me."
On Head Coach Dan Quinn saying a good defensive lineman makes the offensive line better:
"Me and [T] Brandon Coleman, we come out and compete every day. We talk to each other after practice, and we just try to work and get each other better every day. He's a hell of a player and a hell of a guy to go up against, so I appreciate the work ethic that he has because we only going to make each other better."
On growing up in the area and on having fans out today:
"I mean, it was cool when I came out here. I really wasn't too focused on it. I was kind of focused on practice, but it's cool. A breath of fresh air for sure."
On his altered jersey:
"I got a lot of swag. For real, I just like to do my thing, have fun with it."
On getting his contract this summer:
"I do everything for my family. I do everything for my family. It means a lot, first and foremost. The fact that people believe in you enough to want to give you that chunk of change like that. I just want to improve every day. That's my only mindset. How much better can I get every single day? And that's the only thing I'm worried about. The money is cool, but I want the glory, I want the glory. I want to be like Von."
