Commanders sign WR Treylon Burks to practice squad

The Washington Commanders have signed wide receiver Treylon Burks to their practice squad and released wide receiver Tay Martin.

Burks, a first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2022, has appeared in 27 games with 17 starts. Over the last three seasons, he has caught 53 passes on 92 targets for 699 yards. He also has one career touchdown, which came in Week 13 of his rookie season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Burks spent his collegiate career at the University of Arkansas, where he recorded 2,399 receiving yards with 18 touchdowns. He was a three-time All-SEC selection, including a First Team nod in 2021 for recording 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns on 66 receptions. He was the fourth player in program history to surpass 1,000 yards in a single season.

Burks ended his college career ranked sixth in receiving yards, tied for fifth in receiving touchdowns and 17th in scrimmage yards in program history.
