Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been cleared by team doctors and will be active today vs. the Philadelphia Eagles. He is expected to start.
This comes one week after backup Kirk Cousins started in his place and threw 26-for-37 for 329 yards and two touchdowns, earning NFL Rookie of the Week honors.
Griffin III practiced fully all week and will wear a brace on his right knee for protection and support of his Grade 1 lateral collateral ligament (LCL) injury.
Cousins will be the only quarterback active behind Griffin III, with fullback Darrel Young a possible third quarterback option, with Brandon Banks inactive.
Redskins center Will Montgomery is active one week after suffering a Grade 2 sprained medial collateral ligament (MCL) that knocked him out of the game. Head coach Mike Shanahan has offensive guards Kory Lichtensteiger, Chris Chester, Josh LeRibeus as backup options at center.
Lichtensteiger filled in for Montgomery at the end of the Week 15 contest, playing his first regular season action at center since college.
Right tackle Tyler Polumbus will be held out this week's contest following a concussion last week. Despite practicing in a limited capacity on Wednesday and Friday, Polumbus will be held in active this week.
Offensive lineman Maurice Hurt will earn the start at right tackle this week, and will be backed up by rookie tackle Tom Compton, who makes his NFL active debut.

On the Eagles' sideline, quarterback Michael Vick will be held inactive again, clearing the way for rookie Nick Foles to get his start.
Running back LeSean McCoy is back in action this week after being held out of the last four contests with a concussion. He takes the place of rookie running back Bryce Brown.
