Redskins Re-Sign QB Crompton

The Washington Redskins announced today that they have re-signed free agent quarterback Jonathan Crompton.

Crompton (6-3, 223) was a member of the Redskins' practice squad in 2011. He was waived by the team on Aug. 27, 2012.

Crompton was originally selected by the San Diego Chargers in the fifth round (168th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Crompton has never taken a snap for the Redskins in preseason or regular season action.  He has also spent time with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
