There's not a much better matchup in college football than a Red River Showdown with both Texas and Oklahoma ranked, and it's getting some alumni of the game pretty heated.

Former Texas quarterback Colt McCoy and former Oklahoma Sooners Adrian Peterson, Trent Williams, Tress Way and Samaje Perine participated in a skit about the rivalry at Redskins Park that has generated a lot of buzz.

The Redskins posted the skit on their twitter page Wednesday evening, and it was shared far and wide.

ESPN College Football tweeted out the video later that evening.

Yahoo Sports got in on the action on twitter too, posting the video with this caption:

And Barstool Big 12 wasn't going to be left out either.

The video picked up some traction over Wednesday night, getting over 400,000 views as of Thursday morning.

The Star-Telegram ran an article Wednesday night titled "Cowboys rival posts hilarious Red River Showdown video featuring former UT, OU stars," which highlights quarterback Colt McCoy's role as the lone former Longhorn on the Redskins roster.

Adrian Peterson, Trent Williams, Tress Way and Colt Mccoy all shared the video on twitter, too.

Saturday will be the 113th time the two schools have met for the rivalry game, with Oklahoma winning the last two. The game will start at 11 a.m. EST., at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.
