SELECTION:* *Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 25, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Reggie Ragland; Linebacker, Alabama (April 25)

ANALYSIS: "Washington surrendered an average of 4.8 yards per carry last season (31st in the NFL) and was even worse in the wild-card loss to the Packers, allowing 5.5 yards per attempt. Reed is a pro-ready run defender who flashed better-than-expected pass rush skills at the Senior Bowl."

**

SELECTION:** Ryan Kelly; Center, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 26, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Eli Apple; Cornerback, Ohio State (Jan. 26)

--Kendall Fuller; Cornerback, Virginia Tech (March 3)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (March 28)

ANALYSIS: "Kelly's the best interior lineman in this draft and could go as high as the top 15. I don't see the Redskins, who picked up a cornerback in Josh Norman for a cool $15 million a year a week ago, would let him slip past them on Thursday."

EXPERT: Chris Burke; Sports Illustrated (click here for full article)

**

SELECTION:** Reggie Ragland; Linebacker, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 26, 2016

--William Jackson III; Cornerback, Houston (March 9)

--Andrew Billings; Defensive Tackle, Baylor (March 24)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (April 7)

--Ryan Kelly; Center, Alabama (April 14)

ANALYSIS: "Washington has needs at just about every defensive spot save for outside linebacker. Ragland covers the ILB hole, as a heavy hammer vs. the run and an underrated passing-down player."

EXPERT: Don Banks; Sports Illustrated (click here for full article)

**

SELECTION:** Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 18, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Reggie Ragland; Linebacker, Alabama (March 30)

ANALYSIS: "Washington's 31st-ranked run defense was woeful last season, and that front has to get more physical and aggressive. That makes Reed an obvious candidate to land in D.C., although options such as Baylor defensive tackle Andrew Billings and Alabama inside linebacker Reggie Ragland are likely on the radar screen as well."

Check out images of wide receiver Laquon Treadwell during his collegiate career at Ole Miss.

EXPERT: Matt Miller; Bleacher Report (click here for full article)

**

SELECTION:** Laquon Treadwell; Wide Receiver, Ole Miss

DATE OF SELECTION: April 28, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Kenny Clark; Defensive Tackle, UCLA (Jan. 4)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (Feb. 8)

--Andrew Billings; Defensive Tackle, Baylor (April 14)

ANALYSIS: "The first wide receiver off the board will start a run on the position, and in this scenario Ole Miss star Laquon Treadwell comes off first.

Treadwell looked like a future top-10 pick in 2014, but a serious break in his lower leg saw him return in 2015 with less explosion in his cuts and open-field moves. Even so, he's a physically dominant wide receiver who cannot be jammed at the line of scrimmage. Like a young Anquan Boldin, Treadwell brings a huge catch radius and a tough-as-nails ability to pick up yards post-catch.

With smaller players DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon already in place, Treadwell gives Kirk Cousins a receiver who can bail him out on 50/50 balls."

SELECTION:** Ryan Kelly; Center, Alabama

Mock trade with the Bengals. Redskins select No. 24.

DATE OF SELECTION: April 4, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Robert Nkemdiche; Defensive End, Ole Miss (Feb. 1)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (March 7)

--Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (March 21)

ANALYSIS: "This year's class of center prospects is solid, but Alabama's Ryan Kelly stands above the rest as a potential first-round pick. Washington's biggest need happens to be at that position, so don't be surprised if it follows in the footsteps of its NFC East Rivals, doing just what the Cowboys did when they surprised many by taking Travis Frederick in the first round of the 2013 draft.

Frederick has made the Pro Bowl the last two years, and Kelly is the kind of player who could make the same kind of immediate impact. His combination of athleticism and intelligence would make him an instant upgrade in front of quarterback Kirk Cousins, helping improve the running game and pass protection.

Taking a center this high might seem crazy to some, but it's arguably the safest pick in the entire round. If Washington is able to move back a few spots, pick up an extra pick or two and still land its guy, all the better."

EXPERT: Walter Cherepinsky; WalterFootball (click here for full article)

SELECTION: Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama

**

DATE OF SELECTION:** April 28, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Su'a Cravens; Linebacker, USC (Feb. 1)

--Jaylon Smith; Linebacker, Notre Dame (Feb. 15)

--Kendall Fuller; Cornerback, Virginia Tech (March 23)

--Kenny Clark; Defensive Tackle, UCLA (April 15)

ANALYSIS: "Terrance Knighton signed with the Patriots, but the Redskins wanted a better, long-term option anyway, so here it is. There's a decent chance Jarran Reed will be available for Washington, and if so, the front office may just pull the trigger."

SELECTION:** Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 28, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Su'a Cravens; Linebacker, USC (Feb. 1)

--Jaylon Smith; Linebacker, Notre Dame (Feb. 15)

--Kendall Fuller; Cornerback, Virginia Tech (March 3)

--Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (March 14)

--Reggie Ragland; Linebacker, Alabama (March 21)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (March 28)

--Chris Jones; Defensive Tackle, Mississippi State (April 11)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (April 26)

ANALYSIS: "I hear the Redskins pick will come down to an Alabama player with Ryan Kelly, Jarran Reed, or A'Shawn Robinson being the finalists. Kelly and Robinson are off the board. Of the defenders, I think their preference is for Reed even though Robinson is more versatile.

The 6-foot-3, 311-pound Reed was a powerful defender for Alabama at the point attack. He is a strong run defender who fills his gap and is tough to move. Reed isn't much of a pass-rusher though, but he has quickness and athleticism to improve at getting after the quarterback in the NFL.

In 2015, the senior totaled 53 tackles with 4.5 for a loss, one sack and two passes batted. As a junior in 2014, he had 55 tackles with 6.5 for a loss, one sack and five passes batted. Reed was a JUCO player before landing at Alabama." **

SELECTION: Reggie Ragland; Linebacker, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 27, 2016

ANALYSIS: "This is been the pick for Washington for most mocks and it's a good fit to shore up the middle of their defense. Ragland is a sound run defender and while there are questions about his contributions in nickel defense due to athleticism concerns, he's capable of playing short zones and he can dabble as a movable chess piece as a blitzer after finishing eighth among linebackers with a 10.0 pass rush grade in 2015."

**

SELECTION:** Reggie Ragland; Linebacker, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 25, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--William Jackson III; Cornerback, Houston (March 17)

ANALYSIS: "Washington has a major need at the inside linebacker position, and Ragland can be plugged inside to alleviate that. I enjoy watching him play. He ran a 4.7 40 and possesses plenty of athleticism to make plays as a rusher or in coverage, and I love the way he can wiggle in and out of holes to make run stops. He's a run-stuffer, plain and simple, which makes him a better fit than the other linebacker who could come off the board in this range, Darron Lee of Ohio State, who is much more of a speed/cover linebacker."

SELECTION:** Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama

DATE OF SELECTION: April 27, 2016

PREVIOUS SELECTION(S):

--Robert Nkemdiche; Defensive End, Ole Miss (Feb. 11)

--Vernon Butler; Defensive Tackle, Louisana Tech (March 3)

--Mackensie Alexander; Cornerback, Clemson (March 16)

ANALYSIS: "Scot McCloughan insinuated he already has a target in mind at this selection. One name who stands above the rest. Wanting tough and physical players, Reed makes a ton of sense. He is a load to move off of the line as a nose tackle and can offer some upfield ability thanks to outstanding strength. Jonathan Bullard is also an option to replace the departed Jason Hatcher."

--Andrew Billings; Defensive Tackle, Baylor (March 28)

--A'Shawn Robinson; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (April 11)

--Jarran Reed; Defensive Tackle, Alabama (April 25)

ANALYSIS:"This easily could have been a defensive tackle, but Ragland can be a presence in the middle of Washington's defense. He's a natural leader and a strong tackler between the tackles, and a capable pass rusher."

EXPERT:Peter King; MMQB (click here for full article)

SELECTION: Vernon Butler; Defensive Tackle, Louisiana Tech

DATE OF SELECTION:April 25, 2016

ANALYSIS:"A developmental prospect, and a very big man (6-3½, 323) with the ability not just to stuff the run but to power his way into the backfield, and more athletic than he first appears—he runs a 5.15 time in the 40. Some will say GM Scot McCloughan is reaching here. McCloughan would say: I don't care what you think.
