Bill Croskey-Merritt gets his first NFL TD

The rest of the NFL just got introduced to Bill Croskey-Merritt.

Croskey-Merritt, a seventh-round pick from Arizona, has been one of the more interesting rookies to watch during the Washington Commanders' training camp. He's shown burst, vision and an ability to get yards after contact. He's become a fan favorite over the last few weeks, and there's a chance he's going to be much more popular around the league.

With the ball at the Bengals' 27-yard line, Croskey-Merritt followed a pair of pulling blocker and burst into the Cincinnati Bengals' second level. He didn't get touched until he had crossed the goal line, putting the Commanders up 14-7 in the first quarter. Croskey-Merritt got a round of congratulations from his teammates on the sideline, and quarterback Jayden Daniels added to the moment by making sure the rookie got the game ball.

You can check out the play in the highlight above.
