The Washington Commanders have drafted Arizona running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt with the No. 245 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Croskey-Merritt (5-foot-10, 206 pounds) spent four years at Alabama State before transferring to New Mexico and Arizona. Croskey-Merritt made a solid impression at the East-West Shrine Bowl after appearing in just one game in 2024 because of eligibility issues. In 2023, Croskey-Merritt rushed for 1,190 yards and 17 touchdowns on 189 carries.
"Eligibility issues sidelined Croskey-Merritt for all but one game in 2024, but his skills were on full display at the East-West Shrine Bowl in January," wrote NFL.com's Lance Zierlein. "He's a quick processor with adequate size and impressive cut quickness to find yards in a crowded workspace. He has one-cut talent and the ability to break runs sharply across the grain when necessary. He finishes runs with purpose, too."
