The Washington Commanders will be rocking new threads for the 2026 season and beyond.
The Commanders teased via a social media post that they will unveil the new uniforms on April 15 -- just over a week before the start of the NFL Draft.
The Commanders currently have three primary uniform combinations: their home jersey, which features burgundy as the primary color; their white jerseys worn primarily during away games; and their all-black alternate uniforms, which features homages to the military as well as Washington, D.C.
While not much is known about what the new uniforms will look like, the team has been dedicated to blending its past and future since Josh Harris took over as Managing Partner. In 2024, the team brought back the iconic gold pants, and last season, it revealed its "Super Bowl Era" uniforms and helmets that resembled the ones the franchise wore during their championship seasons.
"These uniforms recognize the most successful era of our franchise -- one that reflects a culture of excellence and encompasses many historical moments and special memories amongst our fanbase," Team President Mark Clouse said when the "Super Bowl Era" uniforms were unveiled. "Our coaches, players and the entire organization could not be more excited to celebrate our team's legacy while creating new memories in these uniforms this season."
As for what the new uniforms will look like, fans should make sure to keep their social media notifications turned on and check out Commanders.com on April 15 for more information as well as later this summer when the 2026 jersey schedule will be released.
