Question of the week: What is the offensive, defensive potential with the No. 7 pick?

On this episode of the Command Center Podcast, Logan Paulsen, Santana Moss, and Fred Smoot imagine what the Commanders' offense and defense could look like with some NFL prospects in the upcoming draft. The guys spin the wheel of prospective opportunity to see who in the draft class they evaluate this week.

OFFENSE

TE Kenyon Sadiq

Smoot: "You're talking about a guy that's too fast for linebackers. You're talking a guy that's too big for defensive backs. You're talking about a guy that can get vertical. And guess what? Who's the quarterback's best friend? The tight end. It's always the tight end. So if I've got a tight end that can catch a five-yard out route and turn it into a 65-yard touchdown, I have a villain. I have somebody that's called a true mismatch.

T Kaden Proctor

Paulsen: "He's 6-6 at the combine, 355 pounds. My man jumped 33 inches in terms of vertical jump ... Watching his sprint mechanics, the dude is an athlete. Everyone talks about Trent Williams dunking the basketball, there's a bunch of clips of him doing windmill dunks. I think he was 400 pounds in the clip; his weight is all over the place, but there is not a better 'pound-for-pound' than Kaden Proctor ... You get a freak athlete like that, I think he can play guard. People think he might be a better guard. Think about Laremy Tunsil, who is a top five tackle. Kaden Proctor would be playing left guard here. You got Sam Cosmi, who is a Pro Bowl-caliber right guard, and then Josh Conerly, who is ascending. Talk about an environment that would support Jayden Daniels.

WR Carnell Tate

Moss: "He does everything good. He runs the routes. He catches the ball at the highest point. He doesn't have a problem with going across the middle. He's, to me, a complete wide receiver ... He's a prototypical wide receiver. He didn't run a 4.3, but he doesn't have to run a 4.3 to be a great receiver in this league."

DEFENSE

CB Jermod McCoy

Smoot: "I love him. Listen: Shut. Down. Corner. I don't say that much. Jermod McCoy is a specimen. I think his ball skills are elite ... He's gonna keep coming. He has something. I feel like if I had to go through every aspect of his game, he's the most complete corner in this draft. If you get him on this defense with Trey Amos and Mike Sainristil, we've got a lockdown secondary right there."

DE Keldric Faulk

Paulsen: "I don't think he's a top 10 pick in the draft, but if the Commanders were to trade back, for example, I think this is definitely on the table. What I will say about his is his hand usage and run defense is off the chart. He's excellent against tight ends and tackles. He can play the run. He played all over the front ... Daronte Jones talks about flexibility being important. I think he can be a stand up player on the end, five-technique, four-i, three-technique."

DE Rueben Bain Jr.

Moss: "Low center of gravity. Stocky legs. His legs are like a skill guy like a tight end or a full back, and he's out there just bringing it."
