Roster Update - 1920x1080 (1)

The Washington Commanders have signed running back Donovan Edwards and cornerback Darius Rush to their practice squad.

Edwards, an undrafted free agent out of Michigan, spent training camp with the New York Jets before being released earlier this week. He played in 50 games with six starts during his college career, recording 2,251 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns on 422 career caries. Edwards was also a weapon in the passing game with 797 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 86 receptions.

Rush, a fifth-round pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2023, has appeared in five games over the past two seasons. He waived after the Colts' 2023 training camp and has since spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. He made his career debut with the Steelers and recorded three tackles with a pass breakup that season. Rush attended college at South Carolina and was a core special teamer. He recorded 74 tackles with 15 pass breakups, three interceptions and a forced fumble during his four-year career.
