The Washington Commanders have placed cornerback Trey Amos on the Reserve/Injured list after fracturing his fibula, which head coach Dan Quinn said will keep him sidelined for "a while."
In corresponding moves, the Commanders made additions to their active roster and practice squad. They signed wide receivers Robbie Chosen and Jacoby Jones from their practice squad and added wideout River Cracraft and defensive end DeMarcus Walker to fill their place.
Amos, a second-round pick from the 2025 NFL Draft, has appeared in 10 games with eight starts this season, recording 32 tackles and six pass breakups. He has operated as one of the Commanders' starting cornerbacks, who was also placed on IR after tearing his ACL earlier in the season.
Chosen, who signed with the team in October, has already played in two games this season. He has caught five passes on eight targets for 53 yards, including one catch for 17 yards last Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Jones, an undrafted free agent from UCF, stood out in training camp and competed for a spot on the 53-man roster before joining the practice squad. He had 1,250 yards and eight touchdowns on 75 receptions in college, including a career-high 45 catches for 776 yards and six touchdowns during his freshman year at Ohio.
Cracraft, an undrafted free agent from Washington State, has appeared in 53 games with two starts. After starting his professional career with the Denver Broncos, Cracraft has also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins. He has 32 receptions on 46 targets for 374 yards and three touchdowns.
Cracraft was an All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention two times with Washington State over his four-year college career. He finished his time with the Cougars with 218 receptions for 2,701 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Walker, a second-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2017, has appeared in 100 games with 42 starts. He has recorded 191 tackles and 26.5 sacks during stints with the Broncos, Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans and Chicago Bears. In 2024 -- his last of two seasons with the Bears -- Walker recorded 47 tackles with 3.5 sacks as a full-time starter.
