1:04 p.m.

And here we go. The Commanders are starting the afternoon on offense. Let's play a football game. It's absolutely pivotal the Commanders have a better showing on this drive after getting shut out in Minnesota. They have a good opportunity to do that today, with the Giants ranking near the bottom in just about every category.

The Washington Commanders have begun arriving at Metlife Stadium for their Week 15 matchup against the New York Giants.

1:16 p.m.

The Commanders are in the lead following Jake Moody's 47-yard field goal. There were some good things from the unit early on. Noah Brown converted a third-and-10, and Mariota showed quickness with his legs. Two plays disrupted the flow, though; Deebo Samuel dropped a wide open pass in the middle of the Giants' defense, and Treylon Burks was called for a holding penalty. It wasn't a clean performance, but at least they have points on the board.

1:24 p.m.

A solid start for the Commanders' defense. After Jaxson Dart connects with Darius Slayton on the first play to get the Giants in Washington territory, the Commanders brought some pressure on Dart to force an incompletion. The Giants stalled in field goal range, but Younghoe Koo's kick was wide left. The Commanders take over with great field position and a chance to go up by two scores.

1:37 p.m.

It seems like the Commanders are trying to get some momentum on offense. They have a good plan for the ground attack, despite being down Chris Rodriguez, but penalties, drops and other mistakes are getting in their way. They have another opportunity to close out the first quarter, though, after a good return from Jaylin Lane. They're at the Giants' 33-yard line following a 14-yard pickup from Samuel.

1:47 p.m.

Touchdown Washington, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt was heavily featured on the 47-yard drive. he had an 11-yard run to open up the second quarter and capped things off with a 16-yard score up the middle of the Giants' defense.

1:55 p.m.

Injury update: cornerback Darius Rush (groin) is questionable to return.

2:01 p.m.

The Commanders are up by 13 after the 39-yard field goal from Moody. The offense has been dominant on the ground so far with 103 yards on 18 carries. Also, another injury update: Laremy Tunsil (shoulder) is questionable to return.

2:12 p.m.

The Giants are on the board after a 12 yard run from Tyrone Tracy. The big play, however, came off a 29-yard Jaxson Dart scramble. The Commanders' defense had played well up to that point, but Dart was finally able to escape the Commanders' pressure up front.

2:27 p.m.

Touchdown Washington! Jaylin Lane gets his second punt return touchdown of the season on a 63-yard house call. It's 19-7 after the missed PAT. It's been a while since the Commanders had this kind of weapon on special teams, but Lane has been a bright spot as a returner with a bright future.

2:32 p.m.

Interception! Mike Sainristil gets it deep into Giants territory, giving the Commanders a chance to put more points on the board before the half

2:34 p.m.

That's halftime. The Commanders head into the locker room with a 15-point lead, 22-7, following the 42-yard kick from Moody. There's still a lot of football left to be played, but that feels pretty good.

2:44 p.m

Injury update to start the second half: Noah Brown (rib) has been ruled out.

2:53 p.m.

Touchdown Giants. This time, it's Dart to Tracy for his second of the day. 22-14 still in Washington's favor.

3:02 p.m.

Tough start for the Commanders overall in the second half. Mariota's pass to Terry McLaurin on third down is batted away, and the Commanders are forced to punt. Also, another injury update: Colson Yankoff (ankle) is questionable to return.

3:07 p.m.

Another stop by the Commanders defense, which has been playing much better compared to last week. The Giants have held to 2-of-7 on third down with Dart completing just 50% of his passes.

3:13 p.m.

Another injury update following a three-and-out from the offense: Laremy Tunsil (oblique) is questionable to return.

3:24 p.m.

That's the end of the third quarter. The Giants are on the Commanders' side of the field but will be facing a fourth down heading into the final 15 minutes. Shoutout to Antonio Hamilton Sr., who knocked away what would have been an easy touchdown by Darius Slayton.

3:27 p.m.

Koo with another miss. Commanders ball.

3:31 p.m.

A weird drive ends on a positive note. After back-to-back false starts, Mariota connects with Terry McLaurin for a 51-yard score. It's 29-14 in Washington's favor with 13:46 left to play.

3:42 p.m.

That's a huge stop for the Commanders' defense. The Giants drove down to the Commanders' 1-yard line, but after forcing the Giants back to the 4, Dart's pass is incomplete. The Commanders take over up 15 with a chance to close out the game.

3:45 p.m.

Quick injury update as the Commanders begin their drive: Eddie Goldman is being evaluated for a concussion.

3:56 p.m.

Touchdown Giants after a fumble from Mariota. Wan'Dale Robinson grabs it for the 16-yard score. It's 29-21 with 3:43 left to play.

4:04 p.m.

We still have a game at Metlife. Jeremy McNichols fumbled the ball on a eight-yard loss, and thankfully, a set of laterals from the Giants to get the Commanders' 29-yard line was overturned thanks to Andre Carter being down by contact.
