1:03 p.m.
Here we go. The Commanders are starting the Week 14 matchup on defense after the Vikings won the toss. Head coach Dan Quinn spoke about needing to create more turnovers. The Vikings have turned over the ball more than any team this year. Something's gotta give.
1:09 p.m.
The Vikings wasted no time getting to the end zone, covering 61 yards on their opening drive. J.J. McCarthy completed all four of his passes and connected with tight end Josh Oliver for the 18-yard score.
1:25 p.m.
There were a lot of positive things on a Commanders drive that ultimately ended with no points. Deebo Samuel converted a third-and-long, Jayden Daniels connected with Terry McLaurin and Chris Rodriguez got the run game going. However, things fell short at the goal line when the ball slipped through Samuel's fingers.
1:45 p.m.
The Vikings are now up by two scores after going on one of the longest drives in NFL history. They went 98 yards on 19 play and taking 12 minutes off the clock to go up by 14 with a Jordan Mason score. They've had five third down this afternoon and converted them all.
2:12 p.m.
That was a frustrating end of the half for the Commanders. The defense managed to get a stop on third down for the first time today with a Von Miller sack, but the offense could only move the ball 12 yards. There's a lot to work on in the locker room if the Commanders have hope of pulling out a win. They get the ball to start the third quarter.
2:41 p.m.
It's been a frustrating start to the second half. The Commanders put together a 12-play drive to start off the third quarter, but things ended in disaster with Andrew Van Ginkle picking off a tipped pass on fourth down. What's more Daniels appeared to re-injure his elbow and headed to the medical tent. It appears that Marcus Mariota is coming in for at least a drive.
Daniels (elbow) is questionable to return.
2:52 p.m.
The tough stretch continues to get tougher for the Commanders. Mariota throws an interception to Harrison Smith, and the Vikings are now in scoring position with the score 17-0.
The Vikings are up 24-0 and looking to go up by more. They have the ball to start the fourth quarter. Even worse, tight end Zach Ertz was carted to the locker room with a lower body injury.
4:04 p.m.
Another tough loss for the Commanders, who suffered a 31-0 defeat on the road and their first shut out in six years. Check back to Commanders.com for a full recap.
