The Washington Redskins have downgraded starting strong safety Reed Doughty (concussion) to out for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

Doughty did not travel with the team on Saturday.

The Redskins will also be without starting free safety Brandon Meriweather, who will be serving a one-game suspension this week, imposed by the league office.

The Redskins have four remaining safeties on the roster, with Bacarri Rambo, Trenton Robinson, Jordan Pugh and Jose Gumbs filling out the depth chart.

Cornerback E.J. Biggers started Week 1 at safety and remains a possibility to return there this week.
