The Washington Commanders were busy once again this offseason, as general manager Adam Peters worked to retool the roster with trades and veteran free agent signings.
Now, it's time to continue building for the future with the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
The Commanders will begin the three-day even with five picks, including the No. 29 selection. Some of their picks have been moved to acquire talent like Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel from the Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers, respectively. Because of those moves, the Commanders do not currently own a third-round pick, although that could change by the end of the night.
Here's a full look at how the order currently stands for the Commanders.
- Round 1: Pick 29
- Round 2: Pick 61
- Round 4: Pick 128
- Round 6: Pick 205
- Round 7: Pick 245
Come back tonight for more updates on what the Commanders do in this year's draf!
ROUND 1, PICK 29
The Washington Commanders have selected Oregon tackle Josh Conerly Jr. with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Conerly, a former five-star recruit from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, is a young player with the tools to be a prototypical starting tackle at some point in his career. At 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, Conerly is a physical blocker in the run game who knows how to finish. In his first year as a starter, He posted a run-block grade of 66 on 317 running plays.
Where Conerly thrives the most, however, is as a pass-blocker. Back in 2023, he was part of an offensive line that allowed just five sacks all season. He allowed just one sack and two quarterback hits, which helped him post a 76.9 pass-blocking grade.
"He sees twists and blitzes developing and recovers with athleticism when beaten," wrote NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein.
Conerly was even more effective in 2024. He allowed just one sack and five pressures -- nine fewer than he did in 2023. That sack came in Week 2 against Boise State. He kept quarterback Dillon Gabriel off the ground for the rest of the season, allowing only two quarterback hits.
The Commanders have been dedicated to protecting Jayden Daniels -- their No. 1 asset. They traded for left tackle Laremy Tunsil and drafted Brandon Coleman last season. Now, they add one of the top offensive linemen in this year's class.

ROUND 2, PICK 61
The Washington Commanders have selected Trey Amos with the No. 61 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Amos (6-foot-1, 195 pounds) is a First Team All-SEC cornerback who led his team with 13 pass breakups. A five-year player who suited up for three squads, Amos recorded 122 tackles and three interceptions.
"Long press cornerback who proved he could make the jump from the Sun Belt to the SEC without a hitch," wrote NFL.com's Lance Zierlein. "Amos can disrupt the release and plays with good short-area movement in man coverage."
The Commanders needed to provide depth at cornerback aside from Marshon Lattimore and 2024 draft pick Mike Sainristil. Amos can fill that role on the outside, as he has quick feet and can play in press coverage.
ROUND 4, PICK 128
The Washington Commanders have selected wide receiver Jaylin Lane with the No. 128 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Lane (5-foot-10, 196 pounds) was a five-year player at the college level and spent time at MTSU and Virginia Tech. Over the course of his career, Lane amassed 2,532 yards and 18 touchdowns.
"Semi-versatile slot option with legitimate long speed and talent to add yardage with the ball in his hands," wrote NFL.com's Lance Zeirlein. "Lane can stretch defenses from the slot with his build-up speed and is a viable option in catch-and-run packages near the line of scrimmage."
A three-star recruit out of South Carolina, Lane committed to MTSU after breaking every receiving record at Clover High School. He ended his three-year stint with the Blue Raiders by being a Second Team All-C-USA selection for leading the team with 69 receptions for 940 yards and five touchdowns.
ROUND 6, PICK 205
The Washington Commanders have drafted UCLA linebacker Kain Medrano with the No. 205 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Medrano (6-foot-3, 222 pounds) was a Third Team All-Big Ten selection who led his team with three forced fumbles. He also filled up the stat sheet for the Bruins in 2024 with 72 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown.
For his career, Medrano recorded 194 tackles with 10 pass breakups, five forced fumbles and three interceptions.
"Sixth-year senior and team captain with two years of starting experience," wrote NFL.com's Lance Zierlein. "Medrano's long, lean frame is more reminiscent of a strong safety than a linebacker."
*ROUND 7, PICK 245 *
The Washington Commanders have drafted Arizona running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt with the No. 245 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Croskey-Merritt (5-foot-10, 206 pounds) spent four years at Alabama State before transferring to New Mexico and Arizona. Croskey-Merritt made a solid impression at the East-West Shrine Bowl after appearing in just one game in 2024 because of eligibility issues. In 2023, Croskey-Merritt rushed for 1,190 yards and 17 touchdowns on 189 carries.
"Eligibility issues sidelined Croskey-Merritt for all but one game in 2024, but his skills were on full display at the East-West Shrine Bowl in January," wrote NFL.com's Lance Zierlein. "He's a quick processor with adequate size and impressive cut quickness to find yards in a crowded workspace. He has one-cut talent and the ability to break runs sharply across the grain when necessary. He finishes runs with purpose, too."
