LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation, the Department of Defense, Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines joined forces yesterday to host the fourth annual Salute to Play 60 Military Challenge at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, D.C. The kick-off event hosted more than 200 children from nine military installations in the D.C. region.

This initiative is part of the NFL's larger Play 60 campaign, which fights childhood obesity by encouraging youth to get active for at least 60 minutes a day. For the fourth consecutive year, the Salute to Play 60 Military Challenge served as a vehicle to get hundreds of children of military families moving across the Washington, D.C. region.

Serving as celebrity trainers at each exercise station were current Redskins players Rob Kelley, Jamison Crowder, Arie Kouandjio, Anthony Lanier II II and Isaiah Williams along with former Redskins players Doug Williams, Kyshoen Jarrettand wives of Redskins coaches. Students rotated through a variety of stations including a hip-hop dance class, teamwork/recess games and three 'challenge stations' that tested participants on their combine skills, such as the 40-yard dash. The top finisher in each team at these challenge stations will be recognized during the 2016 Redskins Play 60 home game on Oct. 2 vs. Cleveland.
