Tunsil was charged with protecting Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud during his rookie season in 2023. Stroud had a similar trajectory as Daniels, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award for giving the Texans a 10-7 record and advancing to the Divisional round of the playoffs. Tunsil did his job well with Stroud in the backfield, allowing just 20 pressures on 556 pass-blocking plays while earning an 85.4 grade from Pro Football Focus. In 2024, Tunsil allowed just two sacks, according to PFF, while recording a pass-blocking grade of at least 80 for the fifth time in his career.
McLaurin registered 82 receptions for 1,096 yards and 13 touchdowns. McLaurin's 13 touchdowns were tied for second in the NFL and first in the NFC. McLaurin was one of five players in the NFL last season with 70-plus receptions and 10-plus touchdown receptions, joining Amon-Ra St. Brown and Justin Jefferson as the only NFC wide receivers to accomplish the feat. McLaurin's 13 touchdown receptions last season were a single-season franchise record.
Daniels was 331-of-480 for 3,568 yards, 25 passing touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also added 891 yards rushing on 148 carries and has scored six rushing touchdowns. Daniels finished the regular season ranked second among quarterbacks in rushing yards. Daniels also ranked 14th in the NFL in passer rating and completions and ninth in completion percentage. Daniels broke the NFL rookie rushing record for a quarterback and threw more touchdowns in the fourth quarter of games than any rookie in NFL history.
Wagner was one of the many players general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn signed in the offseason. The veteran quickly stood out because of his leadership, mentorship for rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and production. Wagner led the team with 132 stops, marking the 13th consecutive season that he surpassed the 100-tackle mark. He is tied with former Washington linebacker London Fletcher for the most consecutive 100-tackle seasons in NFL history. According to PFF, Wagner was the most efficient pass-rusher for his position in the regular season. He received a 91 overall grade from the analytics website with 26 pressures. He had a missed tackle rate of just 5.1% -- the fifth-lowest of his career.
