LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. – The Washington Commanders announced today that they have signed running back Rachaad White. The full terms of the deal were not disclosed.
White, (6-0, 214) is entering his fifth year in the league after joining the league with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a third-round pick (91st overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft. In his career, White has appeared in 67 games with 48 starts and has recorded 677 carries for 2,656 yards with 14 touchdowns along with 205 receptions for 1,450 yards and 11 touchdown receptions.
Prior to signing with Washington, White spent his whole career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Last season, White played in all 17 games, starting in eight and had 132 carries for 572 yards and four touchdowns as well as 40 receptions for 218 yards.
In 2024, White appeared in 16 games, starting in 15 and recorded 144 carries for 613 yards and three touchdowns along with 51 receptions for 393 yards and a career high of six receiving touchdowns.
During the 2023, White led the team in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. He played and started in all 17 games recording 272 carries for 990 yards and a career high of six rushing touchdowns along with 64 receptions for 549 yards and three touchdowns.
In 2022, White saw action in all 17 games with eight starts and 129 attempts for 481 yards and one touchdown along with 50 receptions for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
He has played in four postseason games throughout his career, totaling 35 attempts for 169 yards and 11 receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown.
White played collegiately Mt. State Antonio Community College from 2018-19 and Arizona State from 2020-22. While at Mount State Antonio, he appeared in nine games with one tackle. With Arizona, he played in 15 games and recorded 51 receptions for 607 yards and two touchdowns along with 224 carries for 1,426 yards and 20 touchdowns. White was named second team running back by the Pac-12 Conference in 2021.
A native of Kansas City, Missouri, White attended Center High School.
