Co-hosts Logan Paulsen and Jason Johnson have been breaking down their top players at each position ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. They just got done ranking the cornerbacks, but Paulsen still has his eye on several other players outside of his top 10 that could be available for the Commanders in later rounds. Here's a look at his honorable mentions at the cornerback position.

Evaluation
- He's a long-armed man cover corner who has some tightness. Does a good job staying connected in man coverage situations. Not a lot of clips of him in straight zone, but doesn't always look super comfortable in the clips I have seen. Urgent and physical in the run game not afraid to tackle, which I love.

Evaluation: Plays true nickel for Miami, and as a result, he is around the line of scrimmage much more than perimeter corners (Obviously). He had the interception for a TD vs. Ohio state. He blitzed a lot vs. Ohio State and has a good feel for attacking the LOS and accelerating to the sack. Size is a concern because of the physical play style. He does not look super comfortable in coverage and shows some stiffness. He sets solid edges vs tight ends and is comfortable with the physical elements of the game. I like the player but worry about the coverage limitations and how that affects his role at the next level. He's a smart, tough football player who is a full-time nickel.
Tacario Davis

| Washington | 6'4 | 190 | 21 | 4.41 | 37 | 10'3 | 33 3/8 | 9 1/4 |
Evaluation: He looks like an alien on the field. he played a lot of zone at Washington -- cover two and cover three. He has some ability in man coverage and is at his best when he can get his hands on people. he does a good job staying connected and surprisingly isn't overly grabby. There are some times where you see the height hurt him when he needs to click and close to routes. He's not a killer when it comes to tackling or taking in the run game but is good enough. He shows decent instincts when it comes to pattern recognition. He had some special plays vs. Illinois that showed what he can do.

| Washington | 6'1 | 196 | 23 | 4.45 | 39 | 10'4 | 33 1/8 | 9 3/4 |
Evaluation: He has quick feet and good instincts, I think he's a little more scheme versatile than Davis. He does a lot of things well, but I worry a little bit about the ball tracking and confidence when the ball is in the air. He gets a little tight which makes me nervous, but he's a good football player.

| Georgia | 6'1 | 196 | 21 | 4.38 | 37.5 | 10'4 | 33 7/8 | 9 5/8 |
Evaluation: He' consistent in coverage. You can tell he has played a lot of football and is well coached. He makes nice plays as a cover three player and has the speed to overcome mistakes in transition. I worry a little bit about the suddenness and change of direction elements of his game. He might be a safety long term.
Will Lee III
| School | Height | Weight | Age | 40 | Vertical | Broad | Arm | Hand |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Texas A&M | 6'1 1/2 | 189 | 23 | 4.52 | 42 | 11' | 32 3/4 | 9 |
Evaluation: He's a long-armed football player quick in the short area. I think he is a willing tackler and is asked to do it in the defense. He does a good job forcing the ball back inside on run plays and keeping his leverage. I like the competitor and like the feel. He does have some issues tracking the ball down the field and lacks top end long speed. He can get lost tracking the football (South Carolina). He's a little bit of an upside developmental piece, but I like what he brings. If you think he can develop, he is definitely worth taking a flyer on.
