Although the new league year hasn't started yet, there has been a flurry of moves around the NFL with the opening of the legal tampering period on Monday.

Nothing is official until the player sign their contracts, but the Washington Commanders have reportedly been active over the last two days, particularly on defense. Per reports from national media members, they have agreed to terms with five defensive players, including former Los Angeles Charge Odafe Oweh and New England Patriots K'Lavon Chaisson. (You can check out the full list of Washington’s moves, both reported and official, in this year’s free agency tracker)

But there are still plenty of moves to be made and opportunities for the Commanders to improve their roster. So, here are 10 players who are still available and set to be free agents today (March 11) at 4 p.m.

Jauan Jennings, WR, San Francisco 49ers

  • A 2021 seventh-round pick, Jennings has been a reliable option for Brock Purdy with at least 600 receiving yards in the last two seasons and a career-high nine touchdowns last season. Jennings is also a willing blocker in the run game and provides a physical presence downfield at 6-foot-3 and 212 pounds.

Rachaad White, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • White's role in Tampa Bay's offense changed once Bucky Irving joined the backfield, but White has always been a versatile piece who presents a threat as a runner and pass catcher. He has 4,106 scrimmage yards over the last four seasons combined with 25 touchdowns and an 89% catch rate in that span.

Chigoziem Okonkwo, TE, Tennessee Titans

  • The former Maryland Terrapin has been one of the most consistent parts of the Titans' franchise for the last four seasons, despite coaching and quarterback changes in that span. He's actually been more productive than Likely, recording nearly 500 more yards and 59 more catches.

Deebo Samuel, WR, Washington Commanders

  • It wasn't part of the Commanders' plans for Samuel to be their No. 1 threat on offense, but the multitude of injuries at wideout forced them to put him into a more featured role. Samuel caught 72 passes -- the second most of his career -- and hit a career-high in catch rate. Samuel is now 30, but his versatility and production could be useful for Washington if they decide to re-sign him.

Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia Eagles

  • If the 2025 season was Goedert's last in Philadelphia, it was certainly a memorable way to leave. He scored a career-high 11 touchdowns -- more than he did in the last three seasons combined -- and broke the record for the most touchdowns by a tight end in franchise history. He's one of the best tight ends to ever play for the Eagles, so it would be difficult to imagine him leaving, but hey, Zach Ertz did it.

David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns

  • Njoku's production has tailed off since he put up career numbers in 2023, but he has been a reliable player for the last nine seasons. He could provide a team with some veteran leadership, and for a team like the Commanders, who have multiple players at the position with three seasons of experience or fewer, that could be almost as valuable as anything he does on the field.

Jeremy McNichols, RB, Washington Commanders

  • McNichols will be 30 during the 2026 season but has put up career numbers in his two seasons with Washington. He's been a reliable source of veteran leadership for Jacory Croskey-Merritt and has stepped into a larger role when necessary. The Commanders want to get younger, but McNichols has shown he can add value to a backfield.

Calvin Austin III, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

  • Austin is a little small to be a No. 1 wide receiver at 5-foot-9 and 162 pounds, but he has short-area quickness in the slot and has caught nearly 60% of his targets. While he's more of an exclusive slot receiver, he could be a solid addition to a wide receiver corps.

Dyami Brown, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Brown didn't quite live up to the expectations he had in Jacksonville's offense, but he does have a solid connection with Jayden Daniels. He caught 75% of his targets in 2024 and started in three games.

Najee Harris, RB, Los Angeles Chargers

  • Harris had four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers but tore his Achillles tendon three games into his stint with the Chargers in 2025. It's unclear how he'll look next season, but he does bring a physical style to the backfield with his 6-foot-1, 242-pound frame.
