Question of the week: Who are 3 offensive draft prospects Washington could target?

The opinions expressed in this article do not reflect those of the team.

The Washington Commanders are in the thick of their evaluations for the 2026 NFL Draft, and while most can agree that improving the defense will be the priority for April and the offseason overall, there are several offensive pieces that could help quarterback Jayden Daniels make the unit more potent in his third season.

The Commanders could potentially take one of the top offensive players with the No. 7 overall pick, but there are five other picks for them to build up on a unit that will experience some changes with David Bloug in as the offensive coordinator. Analysts Fred Smoot, Logan Paulsen and Santana Moss broke down three of the potential prospects Washington could target, with their evaluations ranging from comparing a prospect to Brock Bowers to calling another a game changer.

Here are the three players they discussed during the season review episode of the "Command Center" podcast.

Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Height: 6-foot-3
Weight: 245
2025 stats: 51 receptions, 560 yards, 8 TDs

Smoot: "I don't know if you've watched him. He's No. 15, and he looks like a statue in Rome. He is poetry in motion. I'm gonna tell you who I think he is. He is a clone of [Brock] Bowers ... He's built like Evan Engram, but Engram was never a voluntary blocker like this dude is."

Paulsen: "I agree with Fred. The film is very good. He moves well; he's sudden; he catches the ball well; he's got a running back kind of build. All that stuff is true. The thing is, there are not a lot of tight ends in the league that look like him that win consistently ... The thing I worry about is that I don't think he's 6-foot-3. He looks like he might be 6-1-and-a-half, 6-2. He's like a thick wide receiver. Can you compete in-line? If you can't compete in-line, are you basically just like a big slot? If you are a big slot, are there more athletic big slots? The film is good. I just worry about what you are."

Eli Stowers, TE, Vanderbilt

Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 235
2025 stats: 62 receptions, 769 yards, 4 TDs

Smoot: "He looks, to me, like a tall receiver. When I watch him play, he looks like Kyle PItts looked when he was at Florida. He has that wide receiver, wiry build. And you feel like where you're drafting him at, you're getting more value for Eli Stowers than you are for Sadiq drafting him in the first round. "

Paulsen: "I think he's got real, real true skills. I was talking to the guy who's doing him combine prep, and he had a 43-inch vertical right out of the season. He's a track guy. So, he can run. I think he's probably going to run a high 4.4 or low 4.5. The dude can scoot. There's a couple of plays from 2024 where he's catching the football, and...you say, 'That's the best athlete on the field.' And again, there are some plays where Kenyon Sadiq has

KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

Height: 5-foot-11
Weight: 190
2025 stats: 61 receptions, 919 yards, 9 TDs

Smoot: "He's got juice. He reminds me of a more well-rounded Christian Kirk. They've got the same body build, but he's more polished. He's a more polished route runner, and when it comes to returning, that's when he can really change games. So, he's one of those receivers that can turn a slant into a 70-yard touchdown, but he can also get you that 15-yard comeback you need to get a first down on third down."
