The Washington Commanders' "Drive to the Draft" podcast is starting to rank each position in the 2026 NFL Draft, and after starting things off with pass rushers, they're moving on to the wide receivers. Here are Commanders analyst Logan Paulsen's top wide receiver prospects in the draft.

9. Malachi Fields

One thing: "I think when you watch a highlight reel of Malachi Fields, you're gonna be like, 'Dude, this guy's a stud.' And he is a stud. I think he's got a great catch radius. I think he tracks the ball well. He's got long arms. He tracks football well, looks great in the helmet from Notre Dame. I think does a great job in one-on-ones can win on a slant. I think he blocks well. I think he's tough. I think he's urgent."

8. Chris Bell

One thing: this was a pleasant surprise, bro. I got strong, strong AJ Brown vibes when I saw him play. Just the way he caught the football, the way he was after the catch. He has this great catch and run versus JMU where he catches a slant, breaks a tackle, and then walks off on the defense. Now it's JMU, but like the after the catch, the strength, the hands like this, this was a X receiver all day, every day and twice on Sunday. Like, I just was blown away by him.

7. Germie Bernard

One thing: "I just fell in love with him, man. I just think he's a football player in the truest sense of the word. I think he runs excellent routes. I think he's got a great feel. They line him up all over the formation. He lines him in the backfield to run choice routes. They use him in motion. He puts his face on people. I think he's tremendously physical. There is a little bit of hot cold to him, but when he's on, he is on, man."

6. Elijah Sarratt

One thing: "Sarratt was an interesting kind of a labor of love for me. He's a bigger body guy, but he's kind of like a bodybuilder. He's got like shorter limbs. He's like stouter to the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if he measured shorter than what he was at the combine ... All the things that I think play at the NFL level are on full display for him. He is grounded through the catch. He is tough. He blocks his face off. He can win a 50-50 contested catch."

5. Makai Lemon

One thing: "I think he's tough. I think he's competitive. I think when the ball's in the air, for a guy who's 5-11, he is a dog. In terms of his ability to like go up and like high point the football and fight through contact, he's got it, man. As a football player, I love him. And again, to me, he feels more like the Elijah Sarratt, Jeremy Bernard as opposed to the top guys. And the reason I say that is because as I was watching his tape, I just kept coming back to this question: you're a really good football player, but what is your role at the next level? And so that's something that I always remind myself is the college game is different than the NFL game, and where do you fit?"

4. KC Concepcion

One thing: "He's hyper twitchy. His ability to burst, sell false indicator, all those things we just talked about that Malachi Fields has a hard time with like, it's not KC Concepcion's issue. He's excellent at that stuff. And I think the reason he's one for me above Makai Lemon is because I think he can play outside. I think he's that kind of twitchy athlete."

3. Carnell Tate

One thing: "I will say Tate tends to be a little bit of a long strider. He's got some good stuff at the second level, where he bursts and he'll kind of set you up and kind of plant you. But like if we're running like a slant or a dig or a hitch, it can be a little bit loose, which is, again, a very slight criticism ... Do I think he's a stud? Yes. Does he track the football well? yYes. Is his contested catches awesome in the red zone specifically? It's fantastic. The thing that I worry about is, 'Are you strong enough?'"

2. Denzel Boston

One thing: "First off, dude obviously loves football. There are plays where he is the backside receiver on a runaway and he's chasing down the post safety. So, he's well conditioned, plays snaps hard; he's willing to block; he gets after it. And I think the thing that's different for me when I compare him to Malachi Fields for example, is there is twitch and burst and violence. When you watch the all-22, it's a lot of stuff down the field. But when you watch him in game, his suddenness and then his physicality through the catchpoint, is this something that I just couldn't get over."

1. Jordyn Tyson

One thing: "If you look at all the receivers in this class, I don't think anybody runs better routes than him. I think he catches the football well. There's some stuff that you're gonna talk about with drop rate, which we talked about before we started in production meeting that I think are relevant. But I think he tracks the football well ... He runs routes the way modern NFL receivers run routes -- short area quickness, excellent release package, love the stem speed cuts on point 90 degree cuts on point."
