In episode 3 of Commanders Log, the team travels to Joint Base Andrews for its annual training camp practice at the United States military facility in Prince George's County, Md. The next day, despite standout performances from rookies Sam Howell and Brian Robinson, Washington loses a close one at home in its preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers in the first official game of the Commanders era. The following day, defensive end Chase Young travels to Richmond, Va., to be the honorary pace car driver at the Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway.
