COLLEGE
Played collegiately in 26 games at Mississippi State from 2017-18 where he earned 101 total tackles (48 solo), 29.5 tackles for loss, 22 career sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery… Finished his career at MSU ranked fifth in career sacks (22) and eighth in career tackles for loss (29.5)… Earned 11.5 sacks in 2018, placing him seventh all-time in MSU for single-season sacks… Five-time SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week award winner, most in Bulldogs history… Started his collegiate career at Michigan State in 2014 where he played in just two games… Transferred to Copiah-Lincoln Community College before joining the football program at Mississippi State... In his senior season in 2018, Sweat was a Bednarik Award Semifinalist for the nation's best defensive player, after he tallied 53 total tackles (27 solo), 14 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks and a forced fumble in 13 games played...
